Our specialists will guide you through the entire Knock Down Rebuild process.

As you begin your knock down rebuild process, you’ll be guided every step of the way by your KDR specialist consultant. From your initial site assessment, right through to your post-move in warranty inspection, all your questions will be answered with full transparency - so you’ll know exactly what to expect and when to expect it - at every stage of the knock down rebuild process.

A great way to get started is to take a look at our new home designs and select the range and design that best suits your lifestyle . Once our KDR specialist has provided guidance on the right design for your new home, you’ll enter the PRESITE stage.

Stage 1. Fixed Price Tender.

  • You will pay a non-refundable $1,450 to secure the pricing of the house, site start allocation and any special promotional offers
  • Eden Brae will complete a property assessment and site inspection to determine suitability of the build.
  • Soil test, site survey and contour survey is arranged by us
  • A fixed price tender is prepared for presentation at Eden Brae’s Head Office.

Client Requirements:

  • Please provide a clear copy of subdivision plan or linen plan
  • Section 149 Certificate
  • List of standard variations and display options
  • You accept tender and pay further non refundable $2,500 deposit to prepare working drawings

Stage 2. Building Agreement.

  • Working Drawings and HIA building agreement is prepared.

Client Requirements

  • Letter of finance offer
  • Proof of land ownership
  • Client signs building agreement and pays non refundable 5% deposit of the contract price (less previously paid deposits)

Stage 3. Building approvals.

The Tender Appointment will finalise site-related costs and is for you to sign off on HIA contracts and plans.

  • BASIX Approval
  • Developer Approval (if applicable)
  • Eden Brae Homes to lodge plans with council
  • Water board approval completed
  • Building approval Received
  • Other Statutory requirements
  • Please provide signed mortgage documents or owners capacity to pay
  • Proof of home ownership

4. Select colours, interior and exterior finishes.

This is the seriously enjoyable part of the process! Your Eden Brae Customer Service representative will set up an appointment with you for choosing your colours, interior and exterior design finishes. Please allow two full days for this appointment.

5. Site Start preparation.

  • Final construction and engineering drawings completed
  • Finance authority to commence construction received from clients finance provider
  • Order materials
  • Commence Construction

6. Construction begins! 

The construction of your new home has begun! As part of our BuildSure™10 Point Guarantee we will provide a Guaranteed Completion Time so that you’ll know when to book the moving van!

7. Handover, move in and after care. 

Once your new home is completed we’ll hand over the keys and you’ll move into your brand new contemporary home. Included in our commitment to you is our ™10 Point Guarantee that includes an Independent Quality Inspection and Extensive Warranty Program.
